Position Summary

Assists operators during set up, inspects at required rate the finished product from the machine, and ensure cleanliness of the machine.

 

Basic Responsibilities

  • Assist operator during set up
  • Ensure quality of finished bag
  • Operates baler to achieve production targets
  • Communicates any quality deficiencies to the operator
  • Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System.
  • Ensures work area is kept clean according to SQF standards
  • Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Specific Duties

  • Performs inspections per Quality Procedure
  • Cleans machine and area according to schedule
  • Ensures materials are available for next order & next shift
  • Sets the example of safe operation by following established safety guidelines; Follows established safety guidelines; holds self and others accountable
  • Supports improvement initiatives

  • Meets production targets (% performance to production plan)
  • Meets quality targets (number of complaints)
  • Meets waste targets (waste %)

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge

  • Basic machine functions
